Re: !976 Vespa Sprint Veloce????

TBH....and just my opinion, the price is OTT. Just in 'OK condition? For that sort of money it should be damn near mint. A sprint Veloce is a nice scoot, but something like a Rally 200 is better, and for that sort of cash you could be riding a very nice rally...not just an 'OK' condition Sprint. ...

Re: new lml arrived today...slow!!!

If you've removed the air filter you will need to upjet. By doing so you are allowing more air into the engine, and will require more fuel to avoid the mixture being weak.

Re: 152l2

I'd go with regeared P2 with 8". Guesswork says a 150 Super gearbox should work well...even better with an upgear kit.

Re: 152l2

Both were on 8" wheels, although the first one breifly ran 10" rear and 8" front. Can't be doing with 10" converted L2's and sportiques, it looks wrong, the whole thing looks out of proportion as the mudguard is too small.

Re: 152l2

Theyre cute but absolutely gutless. I'd have no hesitation at all sticking a P200 engine in it, in fact Ive done just that twice in the past! Wont affect restoring to original later on if you wanted to, its a straight bolt in job.

Re: 6v to Electronic on a PX

The looms a fucker, the whole things more like a 150 super loom than a P range one. Its a long time since I did it, 10 years or so, but I remember severe greif trying to get all electrics working, whereas on a previous job getting everything working on a Rally 180 with orig loom and a T5 motor was a...

     I would soooooo like a go on that! It will probably live again at some point, I've still got most of it. The Runner 180 motor is long gone, but still got a complete running Typhoon 125 lump kicking around.. TBH it was quick and handled OK, b...

Re: 6v to Electronic on a PX

Straight bolt ons, you dont need to change the crank, just the flywheel & stator....the only prob would be if you had the whole 6v non-indicator scoot, as you'd need to change the loom too.

Re: FUEL MIXTURE

Depends why he disconnected it? If it was because it had gone wrong, then dont reconnect it! Rare but not unknown...
If its been disconnected and blocked off properly, I'd leave it that way, and run at 3% mix.

Re: Vespa PK 50 engine upgrade

The main thing is the crank needs changing to a 51mm stroke, this will allow you to fit any 125cc top end, or any of the 135 kits available. The gearing will need changing as well. Join the smallframes forum for more advice, top people, they'll be able to help you more! http://davedaniel.proboards.c...
