A complete shed of a Rod model went on eBay for £1700 a couple of weeks ago, I know eBay prices aren't exactly real world a lot of the time but the rod model is a very desirable scoot for collectors.

Finally managed to get the forks rebuilt over the weekend! I'll be glad if I don't have to do this again in a while! I still had to fiddle and file everything to fit....the uprated spring wouldn't fit on the ear thingys properly, the end caps in the fork tube were too fat so the hub wouldn't fit str...

Where did you get the axle from? ScootRS? Yes it was a new Scootrs axle, I should have really got the verniers out before I tried installing it!! Ok, I think I may be able to re-use the original axle, so what I' m thinking is put that in the freezer, then once I've fitted the new bearings warm ...
