Postby granturismo1966 on Sun Jan 24, 2010 1:04 am

Well i thought i would add some pic's of the on going restoration of the Vespa GL ,i'm just taking it nice an slow as i intend to do this one to keep . I bought it back in 2004 from a guy in Belgium with the intention of restoring it back then but as usual other projects took over so it's now time to get started i'm just taking it back to bare metal first ready for any hot leddin that may be needed in any pitted area's .I'll keep this updated as i go along .

Hi Gazzman , Yes the Scooter is like new with very little rot / rust a few dents that need sorting but nothing massive to do. I bought her a good while back i nearly sold her a few times but always knew she was to good to sell and deserved to be restored back to new , i paid £350 for her back in 2004off a guy in Belgium which was a good deal but i was buying lambretta's for £300 back then lol if only it was the same now . cheers John
