P200e Serie Special question

Postby Redskins67 on Tue Sep 01, 2009 2:09 pm

Hi all,

i have just been offered a 2004 P200 Serie Speciale to buy & I am interested but my question is this,

I was always led to believe that they were a limited edition of 400 only, but the plate on this bike is no. 37 di 75.

Was there production runs for other countries and if so could this scooter be from one of these. the bike is in Dublin on Irish plates but the current owner bought it in the UK

I have attached a picture of the ID plate for you to have a look at.

any help greatly appreciated.

That's not a UK Serie Speciale, because as you say there were 400 of them and the plaques reflect that. Other countries did get them and the flag on the side panel will tell you which one this is.

It having English text would suggest that its a genuine Irish bike. I didn't realise there were other national ones either, so was that 'X amount per country', or a worldwide total of 400? If it's 'X amount per country' then there are potentially a huuuuge amount of them

There were only a handful of countries that got them - I know of Norway, Italy (or it could have been S Ireland - the flags are simlar) and the UK. Each country got its own allocation, but as far as I know, none were anywhere near the UK number - Norway only got 25.
