Probably late in replying to this one but the easiest way to spot a T5 is to look at the motor and in particular the exhaust outlet. The T5 exhaust is bolt on like a P2 and not a clamp like a 125/150. This is an easy check that can be done without taking things apart. If you can see a bit of the barrell as well then it should be an alloy barrel not iron. As most folk want a T5 for the motor many of these have been replaced in the past with PX ones and I believe the Indian ones had their LML150 engine in so you can easily spot if it's what you want. I believe that the LML ones also have a weird headset speedo face.

which type of T5 Mk1 or classic.

The T5 barrel were ally but had a exhaust which used two bolts to attach to barrel, P2 header is clamp on but they are at an angle to the barrel not straight down. Also polini kits for the T5 were cast iron so look like a indian barrel any way.#

Frame numbers is really the only way to go.

But would help if you know which model of T5 you mean.
