Is it safe to drive while pregnant?

Postby Ollondon on Sat Aug 01, 2009 10:45 pm

Sorry guys, this topic is mainly for girls :)
I'm pregnant now (early stage) & a bit worried if it's safe to drive... I fill quite comfortable driving, at least at this stage, but my husband is a bit anxious.
Please share your experience / advises.

Cheers, Ol

You'll not be the first, you'll not be the last, but if its born with oily hands and a drink problem, don't blame me :D

Get your hubby to explain why he thinks you're any safer as a passanger rather than the driver. I'd agree that perhaps in the latter stages it may well not be ideal but as long as you're comfortable and able there's no problem that I can see.

Id guess that your hubby is probably worried in case you have an off on your Vespa. Therefore maybe causing problems with your pregnancy. If you have an accident on the scooter it will usually result in you being hurt and falling off, not good whilst preggers. Whereas is a car you are more protected in the result of an accident.
My wife stopped riding for those reasons when she was pregnant, but it was her choice.
