I could be wrong but the Scottish No.1's use Kelso cos of it's facilities and they get the same weekend each year because it it the Scottish National rally and deserves National Status?

but again you do have a point, VFM try to mix it up and Margate was a superb idea but a s**t hole IMHO, Great Yarmouth is a favourite of mine but again a tired old seaside town that we need to give a rest.

just a massive shame that Brid, Whitby and Scarborough are all in the same area cos they love us

Yes Fred seaside resorts like Scarborough and Brid are good venues but these are classic examples of what I'm trying to say. It's not the place but the time that needs a bit of variation . In recent years these have been the first & last rallies of the season which means that every year they both suffer fromthe real threat of cold and wet weather plus shorter daylight hours which in turn means hotels or B&B . If either one of these rallies were held in the summer they would be completely different events. Also if a couple of the summer rallies in turn were held at Easter and October they also would offer a varied experience.
