im 37 ,living in and riding my prestine 63 vespa gl ,and not so prestine 61 vbb,around my adopted city of sheffield,where ive been for 10 years since moving from moreton,on the wirral peninsular....inro over! jon x

Hi Sharpskin, nice to see another new guy on the forum and GL and a VBB you’re a lucky chap indeed. Sorry no one else said hello but they can be a bit quite on here at times. I think it’s because most of the guys are stuck in their sheds this time of year working on their new winter projects or more than likely last year’s winter project

Hi Sharpskin, I've just joined Forum too. I had a '63 GL150 in orig. cream paint which I got from Retrospective Scooters in London; it was very nice with a complete orig. running-in sticker; great scoot - in the 'Vespa - Italian street style' book Piaggio say the GL was the best designed Vespa (I think in the text of the SS180 pages). I no longer have the GL as am a single scoot man due to costs, space etc. I now ride a GS3 (German GS150) but before that & after the GL had an orig. metallic blue VBB 150 with a Sprint Veloce engine it; that was a lovely scoot rode it to Turin Eurovespa in 2006.
