Looks like whoever upgrade it to a 12v system didnt bother to put one in. Looked at stator today and it didnt look too bad although wiring to junction box was a bit iffy, but rest of loom looks new.I'm thinking of putting a full 12v conversion in (new stator, CDI etc) and was considering whether to go the whole hog and replace the loom so I know its good.
Is a loom change a nightmare on these things?(1968 Sprint). Any tips on installation would be appreciated
Whats the general concensus on putting an electronic system in an old bike? Part of me wants to keep it original and stick with points etc but I dont want to compromise reliability
