There is a dvd available now with the px engine rebuild it is very good, for £22. Also this months Scootering has a very good article on px exhausts.

The cylinder, piston and carburettor jobs are very easy, you dont have to take the engine out of the frame, and the cables oil line and petrol line on the carb are very simple. Take loads of pictures ect. as a reference for the rebuild and also use loads of gasket paste around the cylinder barrel to engine and cylinder head to barrel, should help with any leaks ect.

thanks again . think i will opt for a dr180 kit and p2 carb plus a sterling pipe that i have already put on and that made a bit of an increase . just got to raise the cash now . my vespa is an expensive hobby but i would not be happy without my scoot !

For a pure bolt on, I'd go with the PInasco 180 over the DR. More expensive but a lot better. If planning to go further later, then Malossi or Polini.

Hi, i was thinking of getting hold of a p200 non autolube, to replace my p150....the only thing is i run points and the 200 is electronic , i understand it will probably come with the stator but what other wiring mods would i need to carry out...and would i need to do anything else ?

Thanks John

If its a 12v lighting (UK spec) PX150, no wiring changes whatsoever. Straight swap.
