Throttle over run

Postby mark-b on Mon Dec 01, 2008 11:33 pm

When shutting the throttle on my PX200, the revs don't fall for half a second making gear changing etc a pain. Oil seal behind stator plate has just been replaced and I have got to check mixture screw setting (1.5 turns out as a start point?) but anyone have any other ideas? Blown base gasket shouldn't have an affect should it? Thanks for any help, Mark

Sounds like a weak mixture, or air leak, could be lots of things - worn slide - carb gasket - carb loose - head loose (but you'd hear that) drive side seal (but performance would be down with that)

Check carb first.
