Tax Disc Holder

Postby felixp on Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:52 am

Does anyone know where I can get an under seat Tax Disc holder for a Vespa PX? Mine came with one, but it has lost the plastic seal, they basically attach to one of the nuts already there for the helmet hooks........ Anyone??

Can't say I quite unsderstand the question, but it strikes me as being a stupid place to put a tax disk holder any way.

AFAIK most tax disk holders are about the same size, so does it need to be a specific one?

They basically stick out from the side of the seat, so you can see the tax disc, they have like a metal frame which bends down, hard to explain on here really!!

I can get a normal one to stick on the front mudguard obviously, just quite liked this one, but its got no seal to hold the tax disc in and its rusted to fcuk..........

I didn't really want to put a hole through the mudguard for the tax disc either........

Just use one of the mudguard mounting bolts, or one of the threads under the headset.
Do you have a pic of the original one? It may be an easily available part anyway.

BTW, the law says that the tax disk should be displayed on the front left of the vehicle.. never heard of anyone being done for it, but that is the law AFAIK
