Balsting is always a good option but if you want good old nitro-mores and a wire brush, ive got a wire wheel i fit on my angle grinder - which has a variable speed setting - set it on low and just go over the stripper watch your eyes. And then remember to wash off the old stripper before you start to paint, try and get some etch/wash primer Sikens do some in a can other makes too, this will give you a great surface to start your re-spray.

Sanding or blasting is better because it removes any rust at the same time. A wire wheel smooths the metal as well. I've done some great paint removal jobs with a wire wheel. One time I had an air cleaner off my 78 Civic that was badly pocked with rust (not so bad that it was flaking) and by using a wire wheel it smoothed the metal and after paint (no primer) it looked like new. Everybody was amazed at how good a job the wire wheel did. I hate the idea of strippers, they stink, and they're hard to completely remove from every nook and cranny.
