Question: How/Is LML Related To Vespa/Piaggio?

I've taken the plunge and bought my first scooter - a LML Star Deluxe 125cc. Can anyone tell me if/how it is related to Vespa/Piaggio as I'm very confused by a lot of mixed info out there...
