px125 exhaust

Postby cooalaganga on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:45 pm

Hi
I know absolutely nothing about scooters but bought a brand new px 125 in february. I was wondering what was the best exhaust to buy to increase the speed, or even if it is an exhaust i need. i have seen some simonini exhausts that are reasonibly priced but like i say i dont even know if its an exhaust i need. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance Stu..

Hi Stu

Any of the mid ranged priced exhausts would be good for your PX, you could even get the ScootRS stainless steel one for a little bit more than the Simonini.

I suppose yours has the exhaust emmision system and the longer tail pipe???

You will have to increas the size of your main jet a little but this also is not an expensive thing and is very easy to do.

For better performance all round a good kit is always the best thing to do, you have the new X1 kits just out or the good old polini - malossi - DR kits, all of which will increase your speed dramaticly.

a guy 2 doors away from me has a nearly new px125. i went to look at it, and rived that poor excuse for an exhaust off, threw it in the corner and said "get yer wallet oot!" took £70 off him, bought him a simonini, and a couple of jets, banged them on, twiddled his bits about (WHEY HEY!) and he was happy as a pig in shite! think he was a bit shocked when this pissed bloke in combats started to pull at his pride and joy (WHEY HEYYYY AGAIN! FINBARR SAUNDERS OR WHAT!) cheap pipe and some jets mate, to start with, then a barrel kit. loadsa options.................

Yep. If its new, the stupid 'green' exhaust is strangling it. Replace with a simonini or sito plus and upjet. Instant improvement.
