Further to my previous posting about VIN decoding I now am going to try and see if i can identify the reg number and attempt to obtain a V5 for this frame.
I therefore need to contact DVLA and wonder how the VIN number of peoples machines is shown on the V5 ?
I don't anyone to post their actual number but rather let me know the format the Vespa VIN is shown.
For example mine is DGM ***** OM VSX 1T.
Would the V5 show the whole VIN details or just the ***** etc ?

It will show VSX1T****** on the documents if it's input correctly at the dvla

The DGM/IGM is sorta an Italian version of the old BS kitemark.

It means that that particular part, in this case the frame design has been tested and passed as fit for use on a motor vehicle. You'll find other parts are also stamped with a DGM number including the one that always puzzles me , the carb top.

Which factory built the frame/engine you can tell from the VSX prefix. VSX = Italian, other factories in other countries use different letters
