GS150 ALLSTYLES 12V UPGRADE

Postby GARYGS150 on Thu Oct 09, 2008 7:45 pm

Has anyone bought the Allstyles 12v upgrade for the GS150, if so what else do you need to buy. Do you have to change the horn, lightbulbs, handle bar switch, rear brake switch and can you still run it with out the battery or will i have to re-wire the scooter again.

Does anyone know how to fix or build the GS150 engine in Scotland, i get so far then get frustrated with some part or other.

I am also looking for any help on putting a PX125 engine into a GS frame.

not got the allstyles one on mine but fitted a beedspeed 12v conversion instead to the rally engine in my motovespa, it was really straight foward I just swapped the lighting coils on the stator then fitted a 12v regulator a new loom fitted and job done :D the halogen conversion bulb is a worth while upgrade too

I've got nice and bright lights now
My biggest fear, is when I die the Mrs will sell my Scooters for what I said I paid for them

How did you fix the voltage regulator, my Vespa is in for paint at the moment and I was told to pre-drill it with the electrical connector facing down to the floor and either weld some nuts on the inside of the wheel arch (effectively making them captive) or just using stainless??

Any thoughts, anyone??
