can anyone help!

Postby debby3 on Wed Sep 09, 2009 7:16 pm

hi
i have recently bought a spanish import vespa. it has no papers at all, and we are not sure if its a 125, 150 or 200 engine. we think its a px early mark one but would really like a definite age. if anyone could help advise us on where we can get the information we need it would be greatly appreciated. we also need a cdi unit if anyone knows the best place to go. is there anyway we can tell the size of engine without dismantling it. any help would be great as am very new to the scootering world. thanks alot

If it runs and hits about 60 - 65 then its a 200, if it tops out around 55 then its a 125... assuming the rings and clutch are healthy :D :D :D

Yes, the 150 is a short reach plug too

easier....exhaust port exits straight down on 125/150 and is angled outwards on 200s.Look at the pipe ;)
